My professional photography career began in Edmonton, Alberta where I graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, (NAIT). It was there that I opened my first studio and focused on wedding and portrait work. My studio was a multi-floor, photographer's paradise, with a full lab for black & white and color processing and printing.

After several years of long, cold Edmonton winters, my wife and I decided to move our family to the sunny Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. It was easy to embrace the casual lifestyle of the Okanagan. We could enjoy the great weather, warm waters and the beautiful beaches. We had found the ideal location to raise our family. I opened a new studio in the charming town of Summerland and enjoyed numerous years of success.

In 2004, with the change over to digital photography and computer based post processing, I decided to scale down my operation and closed the studio. I became home-based and began freelancing throughout the Okanagan Valley. From commercial work to wedding and portrait work, my goal has always been to provide my clients with creative, exciting, and professional images. I now find myself pursuing more personal photography projects and creating fine art gallery pieces.

In July of 2021, I purchased a commercial space in my home town of Summerland, BC. This space is now home to my studio, steelePROphoto as well as my printing lab.
